A Glendalough evening

We've hosted our second public event - an evening with Glendalough - in April. Eoin Cooney dropped down from the distillery and walked through a variety of expressions from the distillery over a very entertaining evening. We were treated to the Double Barrel, Burgundy Cask Finish, Pot Still and Mizunara Cask Finish whiskies, along with a very special unreleased drop directly from Master Distiller Roddy's collection. 

What was fascinating was the reaction to the samples - I thought the Mizunara Finish was the winner on the night, but the Burgundy Finish was also highly-rated. 

As an aside, I met with Roddy at Whiskey Live this year and he offered a sample of the upcoming Double Barrel Cask Strength release, which will be a limited edition in the coming months. I was really impressed by the sample and at least one bottle will be on my shopping list. Do keep an eye out for it!
