It was with no small level of trepidation that I found myself sitting in a radio studio being interviewed about the club and whiskey more generally at the very end of July. After all, it was a two-hour live show - what could possibly go wrong?

WNSR is a new radio station operating from Gorey town but with a wealth of serious experience in the team. I found myself humming along to their chosen tunes so others of my vintage might like to tune in too - they're on https://www.wnsr.ie/

We were able to cover the history of the club, chat through some of the whiskey expressions I brought for us to sample on the evening and, of course, discuss our upcoming festival - the most exciting thing in our calendar!

Jess is no stranger to whiskey - she's a long-standing member of our club who has attended many of our events. She did a great job in bringing the conversation along and I hope that those who listened were entertained somewhat over the course of the evening.

It was a great experience over the evening and Jess let me choose the outro tune and it really couldn't be anything else other than Thin Lizzy's version of "Whiskey in the Jar".

Many thanks to Jess and the team for taking such good care of us!
