It was great to welcome Celtic Whiskey Shop to Browne's 45 on in late July and for the attendees to be treated to some wonderful expressions presented masterfully by Mat and Adam.
Celtic Whiskey Shop are stalwarts of the Irish whiskey landscape. Not only are they one of the most notable whiskey retailers in the country but they also run Whiskey Live Dublin, Celtic Whiskey Auctions, the Irish Whiskey Awards and much more besides. #
The samples for the evening were very special - three of Celtic Whiskey Shop's own single cask series whiskeys, alongside their collaboration with Boann distillery for their vintage mash bill whiskey and the Celt, a peated/Marsala expression.
The single cask series whiskeys are some of the most anticipated launches and Mat gave a thorough overview of the process and guided us expertly through the tasting.
It was fascinating to discuss the whiskeys with the attendees afterwards - particularly as everyone had their own favourites and each expression had its advocates. It was another great evening with the club and Browne's hosted us with their usual excellence.
