We were delighted to bring Echlinville to Browne's pub in Gorey on Thursday 29 May where we had over 40 attendees enjoy a top-class evening in the company of Séamus Óg Birt (National Sales Manager) and Niall Bolger (Head Distiller and Head Blender).

Although awareness of the Echlinville distillery was relatively low within the club prior to the event, it's fair to say that's no longer the case with a very strong impression left by the presenters, which was very much helped by some world-class whiskeys:
Three Crowns Sherry finish
1808
Three Crowns Peated finish
Dunville's 10-year old Palo Cortado
Dunville's 20-year old Oloroso
Dunville's 23-year old Pedro Ximénez
We didn't need to mention that the 20-year old Oloroso won the prize for Best Irish Single Malt 16 years or older at the 2022 Irish Whiskey Awards. Or that this was the first tasting at which the 23-year old Pedro Ximénez was showcased after its release earlier in May.

When we asked the attendees about their favourite whiskey on the evening, it was such a mixed result - proving the quality of the whiskeys and particularly the three Dunville's releases.

Séamus Óg is a brilliant ambassador for Echlinville and entertained and educated us in equal measure over the evening. Having Niall really elevated the experience and he was kind enough to let us ask him anything through a Q&A. Everyone was very appreciative of both Séamus Óg and Niall who did a great job.

We were delighted to showcase Echlinville and we know that the distillery now has a whole new group of fans!
